Mount Saint HelensThe Gallery of Images for New Dimension Map Art has been developed around certain themes designed to capture a stunning  collection of living earth artwork. Our Galleries include selected populated places, volcanoes, mountains, and canyons. You can browse our Gallery for both image size, and scale.

Our prints are also spatially accurate maps, including scale bars, north arrow, and geographic coordinates. Each image is selected for print size (for instance 36" x 36") and accompanying Map Scale (for example 1:24,000). Think of map scale as an expression of how large features on the ground appear on the map. A Map Scale of 1:24,000 means that for each inch measured on the map, the actual dimension on the ground is 24,000 inches (or 2,000 feet). That translates into 1 inch equals 2,000 foot scale. As the second number increases (for instance 1:36,000) the size of the image on the map decreases and more area on the ground becomes visible on the map print. More apparent detail will be seen on a map with a scale of 1:9,000 than on a map of 1:48,000.

Each image in our gallery is listed by dimensions of the print, its map scale, and the cost. You can click on each image to see a thumbnail view. Ordering is handled through our secure server with Discover Network, VISA and Master Card accepted.

Kamiak Geospatial delivers New Dimension Map Art and is a division of Kamiak Ridge, LLC.
New Dimension Map Art combines the science of geology and remote sensing with artistic design to create cartographically accurate aerial images of the earth revealing its life to be touched with mind and spirit. New Dimension Map Art begins with aerial photography recorded at very high resolution. Once individual images have been blended together into a seamless mosaic, they are draped over physical shapes of the earth’s live anatomy. Tactile earth images are blended with geographically accurate aerial photography to find perfect completion in New Dimension Map Art creating a highly precise map and a work of art suitable for display in your home or office collections. You can select featured artwork from our gallery of popular areas, or place a special order for New Dimension Map Art in a specific area of interest (Western Continental United States).

Cartographically Accurate Map Presented as Fine Works of Art

About Resolution

The resolution of the images we use is extremely high: clear photographic images of the earth's surface and high resolution geologic data combine to make a stunning presentation of Map Art. Each image displayed on this site for reference purposes has been reduced in size and resolution for Internet display. You can be certain that your New Dimension Map Art is created with amazing clarity and quality. Use the link below to see an example of an image from our library of a few ships docked at the Puget Sound Navel Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. You can easily pick out the ships, the landing strip on the aircraft carrier, the control tower, and cars parked on the docks, even the cables which secure the ship to the port. The image has been reduced in quality for faster download, but you can still see incredible detail. This small segment of an image represents only 0.010" x 0.015" on a finished 36" x 36" map.

New Dimension Map Art has selected some of the most stunning images from the Western United States to launch its entry into the Fine Art landscape. Our first images were of the volcanoes of the Cascade Mountain Range. One example is on this page, featuring Mount St. Helens, Washington. You can see and touch with the mind, the texture of the volcano. We have expanded our gallery to include other volcanic sites, non-volcanic mountains, waterscapes, canyons, and populated places.

Once you have decided on prints and sizes, you can use our secure server to place your order for prints. We accept Discover Network, VISA and Master Card. If you have questions, please contact us via e-mail or phone.
